– In English: Swepiracy was a Swedish web site that made pirated copies of movies available to the public by file sharing. It was closed down by Swedish police in 2012. On October 11, 2016, the owner of the site was sentenced to pay 1.7 million Swedish kronor (more than 200,000 U.S. dollars) in damages to the copyright holding film com­pa­nies.
